- DUPONT Durable Water Repellent: This 600mm water permeability coating is used on all 686 outerwear fabrications, DWR is the last finish applied on the shell fabric surface. It enables the fabric to shed water, preventing saturation and enhancing the coating or laminate beneath the fabric. DWR also helps repel stains and oils on the surface which can impede the fabrics breathability.;
